What It Is

Stretching, done with you — not to you.

Assisted stretch therapy is hands-on, guided stretching where I do the work of positioning and lengthening each muscle group while you relax and breathe. Because you're not straining to hold a position yourself, your body eases into a deeper, safer range than solo stretching usually allows.

There's no fixed script. Every session starts with where your body actually is that day — the tight hip from sitting, the shoulder that's been nagging, the hamstrings that never quite loosen — and works from there. It's calm and methodical, not a workout.

If massage would serve you better on a given day, we can blend the two. You pay one flat rate for the time, so the work always follows your body, never a menu.

What a session looks like

1

Quick check-in

We talk through how you're moving, where you feel restricted, and what you want out of the session.

2

Guided, assisted stretching

You lie back and relax while I move you through targeted stretches at a pace that feels good — never forced.

3

Focus where you need it

We spend the most time on the areas holding you back, adjusting in real time to how your body responds.

4

Recover in the amenities

Wind down afterward in the sauna, steam room, and hot tub — included with every session.

Why People Come In

What assisted stretch can do for you.

Everyone's reasons are a little different, but these are the ones I hear most from clients week to week.

01

Better range of motion

Reach further, rotate easier, and move through daily life without feeling like something's locked up.

02

Less everyday stiffness

Loosen up the hips, back, and shoulders that tighten from desk work, driving, and repetitive days.

03

Faster recovery

Help your body bounce back between workouts, rounds of golf, long days on your feet, or hard training.

04

Relief from nagging tension

Address the specific spots that keep flaring up, instead of stretching everything and hoping it helps.

05

Support for staying active

Keep doing what you love — hiking, lifting, chasing grandkids — with a body that cooperates.

06

A reset for body and mind

Thirty focused minutes of being guided, unhurried, and taken care of. Most people leave lighter.

Good to Know

Common questions.

What is assisted stretch therapy?

It's guided, hands-on stretching where a trained therapist positions and lengthens your muscles for you while you relax. Because you aren't holding the stretch yourself, your body can ease into a deeper, more effective range than it typically reaches on its own.

How is it different from stretching on my own?

When you stretch solo, the muscle you're trying to relax is often working to hold you in position. In an assisted stretch, I support and move you, so those muscles can fully let go. It also means we can target specific restrictions precisely and adjust in real time to how your body responds.

Do I need a gym membership to book?

No. Even though the studio is inside Hot Springs Health & Fitness, you don't need to be a member to book a session — and your session includes access to the sauna, steam room, and hot tub.

What should I wear and how do I prepare?

Wear comfortable, flexible clothing you can move in — think athletic or loose casual wear. There's no need to warm up beforehand; that's part of what we do together. Come as you are and we'll take it from there.

How long is a session and what does it cost?

Your first stretch is a full one-hour session for $50 — half off the usual $100. After that, sessions are one flat rate of $100 per hour, priced by length rather than modality, whether we do stretching, massage, or a blend of both. Tell me what you're after and I'll recommend a session length that fits.

I have an old injury or ongoing pain — is this okay for me?

Many clients come in precisely because something's been bothering them, and we work gently and within your comfort. That said, I'm not diagnosing or treating medical conditions — if you have a recent injury, surgery, or a condition under a doctor's care, check with your physician first, and let me know at check-in so we can adjust accordingly.
